Freelance Lead User Experience Architect, New York, NY 6-2012 to present

I have lead UX projects for Novartis (via DraftFCB) and most recently was leading the UX for a startup in the food service industry. This project is primarily in the mobile and tablet platforms.

Lead User Experience Architect, Critical Mass,  New York, NY 12-2011 to 6-2012

With Critical Mass, my largest client was Citibank, redesigning their ATM interface as well as consulting on their Thank You Network e-commerce interface. I have also lead UX projects for Novartis.

Senior Information Architect, Greater Than One, New York, NY 9-2010 to 9-2011

As the Senior Information Architect I was responsible for the user interaction of a number of pharmaceutical and health care websites. I was responsible for gathering requirements, synthesizing solutions, functional documentation, user flows, wireframes and other documentation in order to realize a vision for a given website or software.

As the UX Director (two different companies, one sold, one changed strategies), I created the UX for an eReader and a number of web based applications for clients including American Express and Delta Airlines. I established guidelines for usability and archetypes for documents for the companies.

My work with Conservation International won a 2009 Webby Award.

I was in the CondéNet division of Condé Nast, publishers of CN Traveler, Gourmet, New Yorker as well as others. My primary responsibility was creating the architecture for magazine sites and then creating the preparatory documents for the design and development teams.

I worked primarily with the FCC as a UX Designer, creating their next-generation web applications. Projects have included their new XSLT based dynamic web site, an AJAX based application review system, and an auction system that to date has brought in $20 Billion. I also established a pattern library, a javascript library, and a design archive, all of which combine to shorten turnaround time for projects.

As a freelance User Experience consultant, I created user interfaces, I created the default visual design for the Business Portal, Microsoft’s first .NET based branded application.
